Hopewell Ink is a spoken word and music duo.

We formed the band in 2011 and have played at many local events and venues in North Wales including Curiad Bangor Pulse, Bangor Cathedral, Plas Bodfa, Oriel Mon and Storiel.
In 2018 we were recorded live by BBC Radio 3 at Neuadd Ogwen in Bethesda.
We have also appeared on local radio Tudno FM.

Here is a 30-minute concert recorded during the COVID19 lockdown.
In the summer of 2021, we took part in a wonderful exhibition at Oriel Mon art gallery on Anglesey called At the Slate’s Edge II, which featured work by artists in the Ogwen valley of North Wales.
At the exhibition, we showed a video installation called Soundtrack for a Found Notebook.
The film was made to accompany several previously recorded pieces and for the first time we combined sounds with written words (versus spoken words).
The film lasts just over 20 minutes and ranges through seasons and locations including a ‘sugary’ spring, the city of Amsterdam, some wild goats in Cyprus and a snowy winter’s day in Bethesda. There is also a portrait of the artist Francesca Woodman. It ends on the eve of Christmas Eve, by the fire.
